Who is

Dr. Cochran?

Born in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Camron Cochran was awarded the Doctor of Strategic Leadership in business studies from Liberty University, VA.  He previously completed a degree in Human Resource Management, M.A., Webster University, MO., and Human Resource Management, B.S., University of Maryland Global Campus (formerly University of Maryland, University College).  While living in Virginia, Camron graduated from Prince William County Community Leadership Institute and two George Mason University programs: Essentials in Human Resource Management Certification and Fundamentals of Industry and Resource Management.  Dr. Cochran is currently a guest teacher for Copperas Cove Independent School District.  A strong advocate for educative learning, he guides students in learning opportunities that help them reach their maximum potential and prepare young people for success in the workforce. 

Prior to arriving in Texas in June 2021, Dr. Cochran retired from the U.S. Air Force with over twenty years of service and spent twelve years in other positions for the federal government, as a Human Resource Manager.  During this time, he coached colleagues as a corporate trainer, facilitated industrial relations between employees, was a strategic planning manager, and acted as an employee benefits consultant. Dr. Cochran is very familiar with the development of corporate organizational culture.  He has the interpersonal skills to show discretion and confidentiality during the candidate interview process and completing staff performance evaluations. 

While living in Killeen, Dr. Cochran has enriched his leadership potential through participation in the Development District of Central Texas, the Leadership Central Texas program and graduated from the Killeen Citizen’s Police Academy (#51).  He is excited to explore the concepts and discuss economic development patterns that affect Central Texas.  This public engagement, as the formally appointed President for Killeen Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association (KCPAAA), is an opportunity for his voice in the two-way communication between citizens and policymakers, and ideally, results in mutually satisfying policy outcomes. 

Last year, Dr. Cochran completed a Media and Professional Communication Certificate from Angelo State University, San Angelo, Texas. He is a person who has worked in several leadership positions and given substantive advice across a diverse range of functional areas. 

Dr. Cochran and his family currently live in Killeen, Texas.
